Mayor Arman Dimaguila attended the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA)-LGU Summit 2018 with the theme, “Strengthening Partnerships for Environmental Governance” on January 12, 2018 at Sta. Rosa City Auditorium. In attendance were Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Roy Cimatu, DENR OIC Atty. Maria Paz Luna, LLDA Dept. Manager Jaime Medina, Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez, Rizal Governor Rebecca Ynares, Congresswoman Arlene Arcillas, Sta. Rosa City Mayor Dan Fernadez, Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, Taguig City Mayor Ma. Laarni Cayetano and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista. The LLDA was created by Republic Act No. 4850 entitled An Act Creating the Laguna Lake Development Authority, Prescribing Its Powers, Functions and Duties, Providing Funds Thereof, And for Other Purposes. It advocates environmental protection and sustainable development in this day and age of climate change. Its main objective is to to catalyze Integrated Water Resource Management in the Laguna de Bay Region, showcasing the symbiosis of man and nature for sustainability, with focus on preserving ecological integrity and promoting economic growth with equitable access to resources.more photos
