June 27, 2017Mayor Walfredo ‘Arman’ Dimaguila, Jr., together with Mr. Romualdo Garcia of Public Employment and Services Office, Mrs. Lourdes Dimaguila from Gender and Development Office and Ms. Arlyn Cuisa of Gingersnaps, led the ribbon cutting and blessing of the new Kaserbisyo Garments Factory on June 21, 2017 at Brgy. Malamig, City of Biñan, Laguna. Councilors Jigcy Pecaña, Jr., Alvin Garcia, Gener Romantigue, Liza Cardeño, Jay Souza, Jaime Salandanan, Alexis Desuasido, Ramon Carillo and Rommel Dicdican were also present. According to our City Mayor, there were 120 brand new sewing machines to provide livelihood to hundreds of Biñanense. This livelihood program aimed to hone the skills of women and to deploy solo parents and over-aged citizens for employment. There were contracts signed for school uniforms for the students in public and private schools; and employees of the city hall. The biggest client was Gingersnaps, one of the leading brands for kid’s apparel. Kaserbisyo Garments Factory was made possible with the help of Serbisyong Arman, Public Employment and Services Office (PESO), Gender and Development Office (GAD), Gingersnaps and the city government of Biñan. “Matagal nating pinlano ito at nandirito na, ariin ninyo ang Garments Factory na ito dahil ang silbi nito, tayo ang magus-supply ng mga uniporme sa public at private schools, mga uniporme ng mga tao sa city hall, mga taga,dito natin gagawin,” Mayor Dimaguila said. Kaserbisyo Garments Factory was one of the prioritized projects of Mayor Dimaguila that was finished early this year. In addition, our City Mayor plans to renovate Biñan Public Market to make it one of the most known public markets in the country.more photos
