Biñan Celebrates Universal Children’s Month

The Gender and Development Office administered by Mrs. Lourdes Dimaguila, in cooperation with Persons with Disability Affairs Office, Go Forward Biñan Foundation Inc. and Serbisyong Arman, distributed Body Brace and Leg Prosthesis on November 20, 2017 City Hall Annex, Brgy. Zapote, City of Biñan. Mayor Arman Dimaguila and members of the City Council were also present on the said activity. On Mayor Arman’s remark, he said that the PWD is a sector in the society which needs attention and assistance. He also encouraged the family members of a PWD to support them and let them be independent. “Ang unang-una ninyong kailangan gawin ay tulungan muna ang sarili ninyo. Ipakita ninyo na kaya nyo. The moment na kayo mismo ay maawa sa sarili ninyo at isipin na meron kayong kulang, lalo kayong mababawasan. Ngayon po, na sa inyo ang lahat ng atensyon naming,” Mayor Arman said. Mrs. Dimaguila shared that they are extending the distribution of body braces, leg prosthesis, wheelchairs and crutches to PWDs in neighboring towns and as far as Isabela. The distribution of prosthesis was then followed by the assessment of other PWDs who need the same equipment. The City Government of Biñan empowers the PWD sector; gives them attention and assistance; and opens new opportunities.more photos
