Japan outlasts Thailand in AVC 19th Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship

Mayor Arman Dimaguila and Vice Mayor Gel Alonte, along with the City Councilors and Department Heads, attended the 5th Regional Competitiveness Summit and Awards Ceremony as it commenced on August 16, 2017 at PICC Reception Hall, Pasay City, Manila. Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index is an annual ranking of cities and municipalities develop by the National Competitiveness Council with the assistance of USAID, Department of Trade and Industry and Globe. CMCI is a program which encouraged LGUs to gather and submit data which will be used to measure their performance on four pillars – Economic Dynamism Government Efficiency, Infrastructure and Resiliency. Out of 1,487 cities and municipalities, the City of Biñan ranked No. 5 in Economic Dynamism; from No. 95, it moved up to No. 13 in Government Efficiency; from No. 29, it moved up to No. 12 in Infrastructure; and No. 17 in Resiliency. In Overall Competitiveness and Most Improved LGUs, it ranked No. 7 from No. 32 last year. Presently, the City of Biñan ranks No. 1 Most Improved LGU in the province of Laguna. With these, Mayor Arman continues to empower and initiate programs to make the City Government of Biñan more globally competitive and boost local competitiveness.more photos
