BFP kicks off Fire Prevention Month 2018

To prevent and suppress destructive fires, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) headed by Sr. Insp. Nilo Lomitao and the City Government of Biñan headed by the father of Biñan, Atty. Walfredo R. Dimguila, Jr., successfully conducted a Motorcade and Unity Walk for a Fire-Safe Nation in observance of Fire Prevention Month on March 6, 2018 in City of Biñan. FO2 Raquel San Diego, the guest speaker of this event, officiated the Fire Safety Covenant. BFP’s celebration this year carries the theme: “Ligtas na Pilipinas ang ating Hangad. Pag-iingat sa Sunog ay sa Sarili Ipatupad,” which reflects its vision of a modern fire service fully capable of ensuring a fire safe nation and mission to enforce Fire Code and other related laws, respond to man-made and natural disasters and other emergencies. Twenty four barangays in the city and private organizations such as Isuzu Philippines Corporation, Laguna Technopark Association Inc. (LTAI), UNILAB Laboratories and Guardians International Central Command Group (GICCG), to name a few, participated the motorcade in fire prone areas in Biñan and some part of Carmona, Cavite.more photos
