𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆: 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗝𝗼𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱

Mayor Angelo B. Alonte marked a milestone in his first term as city mayor after being named Champion of the Nick Joaquin Literary Awards (NJLA) 2025 by the Philippines Graphic on August 28 at the Luxent Hotel, Quezon City.

The recognition was awarded to Mayor Alonte for his unwavering support of the Nick Joaquin Literary Awards–Local Government Unit (NJLA-LGU) initiative, which promotes English proficiency through literature among Grade 9 and 10 public high school students in Biñan.

Also honored during the event were the Schools Division Office of Biñan, led by SDS Arlene Ricasata, CESO VI, together with other school officials, principal, and teachers whose commitment and collaboration have been vital to the success of the program.

This recognition signals the first of many accolades for the city under his leadership.
